Commentary
In this work the main idea is the timbre and its evolution in space and time.
The timbre is developed using different ways of playing the instruments, different articulations …
Dynamics are sometimes used to emphasize the “plastic” movement of the timbre, often unstable, and other times to create different simultaneous sound planes.
The composer creates an original melody inspired by Basque folklore. This melody is used throughout the work as a moving timbre and, in turn, organizes the pitch and generates the musical form.
